Education and Academic Achievements
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasin Kalafatoğlu completed his MBA (Finance and Strategy) education at the University of California, Berkeley and made academic contributions to the field of energy policies with his thesis titled "Turkish Energy Policies and Policy Analysis from a Sociological Perspective" during his doctoral studies.
He has also contributed to academic literature with his book "Self-Dynamics in the Interaction of Political Identity and Power." He holds the title of associate professor in his field.
Career and Management Experience
- Worked as CFO in shipyard financing projects in San Francisco and South Korea.
- Gained global recognition with its 118,000 DWT ship investments carried out in partnership with SHELL.
- Returning to Türkiye after the 2008 global crisis, he assumed the role of General Manager of Turkish Airlines Frankfurt and managed the European structuring processes.
- As CFO of Avenue company, he managed the annual foreign trade volume of 300-400 million USD.
- Established raw material supply, global supply chain and financial consortiums with Russia.
